How do I get my Wellion MICRO-PUMP insulin pump?

As many studies and meta-analyses have shown, insulin pump therapy can more effectively address the many aspects of blood glucose control compared to multiple injection therapy.

Please contact your national MED TRUST office to find out about the best way for you to get a Wellion MICRO-PUMP.

  1. After extensive technical training on the pump, your doctor will set the basal rates. Now you have the opportunity to try out the pump.

  2. MED TRUST takes care of all formalities with the health insurance fund for you, provides you with the necessary materials on an ongoing basis and offers a wide range of additional Wellion pump services.

  3. Besides the positive medical aspects of pump therapy, there are also personal considerations. MED TRUST recommends "Just try the pump without obligation!"

  4. After the trial period, you will know how to cope with the Wellion MICRO-PUMP in everyday life. If there is a proven improvement in therapy and you personally decide in favour of the pump, your doctor will issue the prescription for the health insurance company (for the pump and the first 3-month package); furthermore, the doctor's letter or the form "Pump data for submission to the health insurance company" is required for the first prescription.

  5. MED TRUST Customer Service takes care of this and sends the prescription note and doctor's letter to the health insurance company for approval.

For people who have already had an insulin pump and are now entitled to a new device (after 4 years), a simple prescription slip without a doctor's letter is sufficient for further prescription.
